Updated: Reminder: Vaccine Mandate – City Facilities
April 1, 2022 – Iqaluit, Nunavut

The City would like to remind residents that effective March 31st, 2022, all individuals ages 5 years and 3 months to 12 years wishing to enter a City facility for any reason must also be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. This means that all visitors to City facilities, ages 5 years and 3 months or older are now required to show proof of full COVID-19 vaccination to gain entry.

At this time, there is no requirement for individuals to have received their vaccine Booster, however as the Booster appears to be assisting in limiting both the impacts and the transmission of COVID-19, the City strongly recommends that community members get their Boosters as they are eligible to.

All visitors will be required to provide proof of their vaccine status each time they attend a City facility. The City will not keep anyone’s vaccine card or QR code on file.
