The Recreation Department offers a variety of programming throughout the year.
Minor Soccer Programs (Summer and Winter)
Spring/Summer Minor Soccer Program: May 10th - August 26th, 2017
Spring/Summer Minor Soccer Sessions will take place on Wednesdays and Saturdays from May to August. This session will take place on the Indoor Turf at the AWG Arena!
Online registration will take place on Tuesday, April 25th from 9:30am to 4:30pm. Any registration submissions received outside of this window will not be accepted.
In-person registration will take place on Wednesday, April 26th starting at 1:00pm. Registration will be ongoing from this date until the program is full.
Minor Soccer will begin on Wednesday, May 10th from 5:30pm to 7:30pm (Group 1) and Saturday, May 13th from 1:00pm to 4:00pm (Group 2).
Fees: $60 per child
Aquatic Leadership Training Program
Trainees participate in First Aid, Bronze Medallion, Bronze Cross, and Lifeguard Certification training. Involves dry-land training, theory, and travel for in-pool training. Applicants must be able to swim and meet certain selection criteria. Qaumaniq Day Camp Program
2017 Dates: to be announced
The Qaumaniq Summer Camp program provides an active daily schedule of fun, supervised activities and events for kids aged 6-12 years. The program begins at 8:30 am and ends at 5:00 pm. Activities include arts & crafts, baking, sports & games, hiking, story-telling and singing. Day Camp information manuals are available upon registration.

Winter Break Camp 2017
Online registration starts January 25th at 9:30am and ends at 4:30pm. 80 spots will be held for online registration. In-person registration starts January 27th at 1:00pm and closes on Friday, February 3rd at 5:30pm. In-person registration forms can be dropped off or filled out at the AWG administration office located in the main lobby.

February 13th - 17th
The week long break camp happens during the school break week. Break Camp is for kids ages 6-12. The camp includes skating, arts and crafts, baking, sports, and workshops.

Suilaaqivik Apex After School Children’s Program (October 11-December 15, 2016)
For children ages 6-12, the Apex After School Children’s Program offers the children of Apex an opportunity to develop social skills and participate in recreational activities including sports, games, crafts, baking and a healthy snack program. The program operates from 3:30-5:30 pm Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays from October-December 2016 out of the Abe Okpik Hall
